The great thing with Danzig is they do have a sound of their own. I found this album goes down a deeper, slightly darker road than with Lucifuge. Even though a few songs are of a slower, almost heavy ballad like nature, his voice is so well suited that they detract nothing from the album. If anything, they give it more substance.
This album sounds strangly enough like The Cult. But I prefer The Cult. They have better compositions.
