Many sweeping majestic tracks. Everything you need within symphonic metal. Ticks all the boxes. Has grown very nicely on me.
This album represents the pinnacle for the band. It combines the melodies and hooks of Mother Earth with the production of The Silent Force. My only criticism is the constant slow keyboard intro to every song.
The first four songs and the last song are WT classics, and among their best material. The rest? Meh...more the same. Still, those five songs are enough to make this a critical release for the genre. This album showed that WT was better than Evanescence.
Sounds far too standard. Doesn't stray from the beaten path into new places.
