Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a mean average rating of 70.0/100. The trimmed mean (excluding outliers) is 72.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 18.3.

Nimrod has always been my favorite Green Day album. It might change one day because I also really like Dookie and American Idiot, but for now, Nimrod is my favorite because of its uniqueness and its cohesiveness. It is full of great songs like "Hitchin' A Ride" (this might be my favorite Green Day song ever), "Last Ride In", "Haushinka" and "Prostethic Head".

I was listening a lot to this album when I was a teenager, as I was really into punk-rock. What's great about the 94 to 04 Green Day is that I think it really aged well. Nimrod is one of the few punk rock albums that I was listening to at the time that I still enjoy today. And that's because it's more than just punk rock. There is more variety in this album than you'd normally find in a 1997 punk rock album. The production is on point (that's the case for all Green Day album from Dookie to American Idiot) and Tre Cool sounds as great as ever. And I can't help but really like Billie Joe's voice.

I like this album. Very overrated within the Green Day community, though.

Take Back really ruins it for me but otherwise it would be my favorite Green Day album. It is them at their most creative. luigybetis called it their Abbey Road, but I'd call it their Revolver because they are experimenting so freely.

Green Day's Abbey Road, without Take Back it would be perfect.

Very good album. Best 10 songs average is 89,3/100 and the album can get very good 90/100. Best songs are "Nice Guys Finish Last", "Redundant", "Scattered", "All The Time", "Worry Work" and "Good Riddance" all 90/100. All other songs ok to good 80-85/100. Only "Take Back" is bad.
Genre: Pop Punk

Solid tone and execution, but songwriting is pretty boring to me, minus maybe 3 or so songs. I think having A LOT of average songs and a few hits makes it seem worse than it is... if they would have kept it to 10 songs, it probably would be more worth it to me.

A long album, suggesting Green Day were attempting something big here. Its OK, but not great

This album is basically just a good version of warning. But still good, because its green day and they dont make bad songs. (with the exception of Dominated Love Slave). Really really abrasive. Really really catchy. Really really high school.

Underrated album! Next to Dookie their second masterwork IMO, followed by all punky albums (Dookie > Nimrod > 39smooth > Kerplunk > Insomniac). But I can dig the more poppy albums too!
