I feel like this is proof these guys are one of the most underrated bands ever.

Hey, so I have not listened to the album yet. And I am sure it would be worth my time. But I have to ask two questions (1) Are all these songs really BEA 90+ quality or has a little magic happened here? (2) Is this album anything like Benji by Sun Kil Moon?
My second favorite RHP album. Full of really great covers (All Mixed Up is an album highlight) as well as original songs.

The 11 minute cover of Silly Love Songs is so different from the original, and really gave the lyrics a deeper meaning. I rarely hear covers of happier songs turned into something so bleak, yet much stronger than the original.

it's a shame that Ivo Watts-Russell didn't "get" this album and chose to drop RHP from the 4AD roster. to my ear, this is better than anything mark's done in his post-4AD career.
