An extremely under-rated album. Some classic Van tracks here. Needs more love on this site.

What you have to love about the later Van Morrison is the way his voice seemed to strengthen with age. He sings powerfully on Avalon of the Heart and the title track. Any nasal quality he ever indulged on albums like Wavelength is real gone here.

"Real Real Gone" is one of Van's best songs.
