This is an album that has tricked (sorry for the awful pun) me for quite some time. On the one hand, I really like the production, it is simple, rough and hardcore, it really puts you in the mood. No serious complaints about rapping either, their passion comes across very clearly, though at times it felt they were given more than they could handle (sorry again, but I couldn't resist making this reference). So far so good, but then you have the lyrics. Man, I don't wanna sound too harsh, but they are plain unlistenable for me. There are other albums - even in hip hop, which as a genre relies heavily on lyrics - where they may not be that great, but you can simply decide that you won't pay any attention to them and still enjoy the other aspects of it. In this case, it is almost impossible, they are so in your face fancy and desperately trying to impress you without saying anything of substance at all that you can't ignore them.
