A very underrated album from Leonard Cohen, this appears to be his only studio album that did not chart here in the UK.
This was a return to a more gentle sound than the previous collaboration with Phil Spector produced. The Traitor and the Ballad Of The Absent Mare are real highlights here, but also The Window, Came So Far For Beauty and The Gypsy's Wife all deserve a mention.
