I like it. Really overblown, yes. But a lot of fun.
I think people are rating this expecting one thing but getting something else and thus rating it low. You have to expect a modern-day style with a little more heaviness in order to get the point of this album.

Meatloaf should have called it quits and stuck to the nostalgia concert series. This album is weak. It's still got the corniness and bloated sound, but none of the charm.
No matter what, the BOOH albums will be good. This one may not be the best, but it's not a bad album at all. What impressed me is how Desmond Child (the guy who wrote Dude Looks Like a Lady) can write a songs that sound very much like a Steinman song. The best track is definitely It's All Coming Back to Me Now, and the Future Ain't What it Used to Be is the song that got me into listening to Jennifer Hudson. Yet another great album!
Off the subject, it's pretty cool that I'm the first one to review this album and add it as a fave on this site.
