Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 4% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 76.7/100, a mean average of 75.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.5.

My first solo Moz album I've listened to. It's never going to be the Smiths but it's still good. Irish Blood English Heart and First of the Gang to Die are superb tracks. And I love the typically gloomy Moz lyrics and subject matter. One of the opening lyrics "she told me she loved me, and that means she must be insane" is the most Moz thing ever

The strongest crop of songs he's made since the Smiths ended, the singles Irish Blood, English Heart and First of the Gang to Die are two of my favourite indie rock songs of all time and there are also some great deep cuts on here too

A great comeback year for Morrissey, in 2004 he had 4 top ten singles in the UK chart and released this excellent and highly successful album. My favourite track here is Come Back To Camden.

2004 had some great comebacks (most notably Sonic Youth and Prince) but this one is easily my favorite.

Clássico dos anos 2000's, Morrissey se reaproxima das rádios.

Good album. Best 10 songs average is 86,7/100 and the album can get good 85/100. Best songs are "The First Of The Gang To Die" and "You Know I Couldn't Last" both very good. Most other songs quite good, some ok only.
Genre: Alternative Rock, Pop Rock

The best thing Morrissey did since the Smiths... Every late Morrissey albums sounds a bit all the same, and Quarry is no exception, but here the songs are better, simply brilliant mostly and really catchy. A must listen for Smiths fans.

This has got to be most teenager-like album ever released by a 45 year-old man. It's still good, but I thought he would have grown up a bit by now.

I liked this album when it came out. Don't know if it's a relevant one or not in the singer's career.

It's good but not sure if it's on par with Viva Hate, or Your Arsenal.
