Very good album. It mostly applies to a specific target group (teenagers), but anyway much better than the average pop album. This is coherent, it feels like a real album, it doesn't rely exclusively on the hits, all of the songs are at least decent.

I will always be biased towards this album. There was a time when this album (and Under My Skin) were EVERYHTING!

It's okay. She isn't a fantastic vocalist. Her songwriting is very much what you expect from an edgy highschooler. She had a sound but she sticks to it so closely some songs just bleed together. So when the writing is relatable enough, when the tone is nice, and when the instrumental is distinct enough, it can be pretty good, like Complicated. Most things are lacking in a category or two, but only the last few really feel like a chore.

This is actually my favorite album. Complicated is my favorite song and I honestly feel this album really captured the teenage sentiment at the time. I also really love the light guitar carried throughout most of the album and it's a nice contrast to some of the heavier tracks.

Back in 2002, I was obsessed with this album. But in retrospect, I find it a bit overproduced, and I get the feeling that Avril was just doing what her record label wanted.

Great alternative rock/pop rock/post-grunge album. Best 10 songs average is 94,3/100 and the album can get great 95/100. This is the sound I like, but this debut album is a little bit weaker than the 2nd album "Under my skin". Best songs with maximum rating: "Complicated" and "I'm with you". Closely followed by "Sk8er boy" and "Mobile" both 95/100 and next "Losing grip" and "Anything but ordinary" both 90/100.

Аврил Лавин — очень молодая и уже популярная на Западе исполнительница Ей только исполнилось семнадцать, но многие ее песни с первого альбома Let Go (Complicated, Loosing Grip и другие) уже стали настоящими шлягерами. Многие критики говорят, что эта шумная девчонка, кстати, уроженка не житницы звезд — США, а Канады, быстро скинет сладенькую Бритни с пьедестала. Но я думаю, что у этих молодых див разная аудитория и разные поклонницы. Аврил выгодно отличается от других своим собственным стилем. Она просто одевается, вместо коротенькой юбочки — широкие штаны и кроссовки. Стихи и музыку она сочиняет сама, поэтому слова прочувствованны, пережиты, глубоки и не наигранны, а музыка, к сожалению, несколько однообразна.
Let Go — дебютный альбом Аврил Лавин, но это не альбом одного хита, как часто бывает у молодых музыкантов И хотя она прославилась благодаря своему синглу Complicated, который, кстати, продавался в Северной Америке лучше, чем работы других исполнительниц, на диске много других достойных композиций Некоторые даже, на мой взгляд, лучше, чем нашумевший хит. Например Sk8er Boi — совершенно забойная вещица, что-то между рок-н-роллом и панком, очень неплохая медленная композиция I’m With You, Anything But Ordinary — лирический гимн бунтующей молодежи. Вообще, диск слушается на одном дыхании В каждой композиции есть что-то привлекательное, есть некая искорка. Так что если вам по душе умненькие самостоятельные девушки, с уже сложившимся мировоззрением, вам понравится Avril Lavigne и ее Let Go.
