Great minimal emotional synth pop. Has a 'hats' period from 'the Blue Nile' feeling to it. After a few listens, the music really hits you.

Expectations for this album were high, and Wild Beasts delivered. The songs are well structured synthpop pieces. Clever songwriting and melodies, this album is easily as smart and tight as pop music can get.

Again a big suprise for me. I had no expectations for it when this album came out, but what a piece of pop brilliance it is. All the songs are filled with the sounds you expect from The Polyphonic Spree, but the songs are the poppiest, most melodic ones in their entire carreer.

Discovered by accident, this album hits me hard. Filled with lush and playful instrumentation, the songs really struck you because of the singer. His voice is one of the most unique ones i've ever heared. Recommended to fans of 'Anthony and the Jonhsons', 'Woodkid' and the instrumentation on the 'Arcade Fire' album 'Funeral'.

Not all tracks are as compelling as the tracks on their debut, but overall the albums still hold up as a loose concept album with great individual songs.
