Well I'll be damned. The Fugs actually made something that sounds somewhat good to a typical human person. That's not to say that their lyrics are any more sensical than before but the sounds that are coming out of their instruments and mouths are actually smooth and easy to digest. They still challenge the listener with rough recordings, complex arrangements and general debauchery but this is definitely the closest The Fugs have come to making a record that you could show to a functioning member of society.
i bought this recently on a whim and could not have been more pleased. really awesome songs with some wacky ideas and great sounds. favorite track is maybe "the garden is open" but it plays really well as a whole album. i sent a link to my dad who is a huge dead, zappa, dylan fan and he loved it.
