Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A common notion for anyone that's ever listened to this whole album, they were so much more than their one commercial hit. This is truly a fantastic listen all the way through, and even 20+ years later it's worth the time. It's tough to pick a favorite song, they all could be.
Came for Sex and Candy, stayed for Sherry Fraser. A perfect song when thinking of lost loved ones.
The ultimate travesty is that this band is remembered for one song (Sex and Candy). When their entire debut is made up of whimsical stories and memorable songs from the wonderful mind of John Wozniak, who is a criminally underrated songwriter. This album deserves multiple listens and respect.
This album is so good. Bought it for "Sex and Candy"; loved it for everything else.
This was so retardedly popular but I could not and will never not.
Slow speed. Light guitar and vocals. Decent songwriting but never got into something great. First track seems a lot more heavier than the rest.
