Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.8/100, a mean average of 69.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 73.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 18.1.

A rare good release from B.J.A even if it is a collaboration with Nora J. Released in 2013 between ‘Tre’ and ‘Revolution Radio’ this album is a complete “reimagining” of The Everly Bros third album from 1958 ‘Songs Our Daddy Taught Us’ and has some real tear jerkers within such as “Lightning Express” (about a kid trying to visit his dying mum) and “I’m Here to Get My Baby Out of Jail”

Its all pleasant enough and respectfully done but I cant but prefer the down to earth home spun goodness of the source material

A great album to put on after lunch on Sunday. It will probably be forgotten by everyone soon. Enjoy it while you can remember it exists!

Interesting concept. Boring album. I'm done with it after a couple listens.

This has to be the most unexpected success of the year. Their voices go well together and make these songs better than they'd be sung by either of them alone. I'd still prefer to just listen to the Everly Brothers, but this might be fun for fans of either of these artists.
