A very compact and energetic album
I like this album, strong, in the main, although it lulls a bit with tracks 7-9. Particularly like Precious Illusions.

Her 3rd outing and her 3rd best not as good as JL Pill or my personal favourite SFI Junkie but a good album none the less it just isn't as good as it's predecessors. IMO best tracks Hands Clean, So Unsexy & Utopia.

Great pop rock/alternative rock album. Best 10 songs average is 94,8/100 and the album can get great 95/100. Best song is "Precious illusions" - maximum rating. Followed by half of the album having 95/100: "21 things...", "Hands clean", "Flinch", So unsexy", "Surrendering" and "Utopia". All other songs good 80-85/100.

Hands Clean hits harder than You Oughta Know... The sucker who slept with her was older, and wanted to keep the relationship secret. Dave Coulier? Some record exec? Either way, he must not have slept well hearing this one.
This is actually a decent album - not as blatantly angry as Jagged Little Pill, but subtle digs abound in this highly reflective album.

It has a more accessible sound than Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie but the material isn't as good. This was basically the point where I was done with Alanis. I realized at this point that Jagged Little Pill is the kind of album a person can only make once, when they're young and hungry and pissed off. Under Rug Swept is the kind of album that can be made many times.
