A desperately needed hip-hop album entry for 2014. Common's a rapper that has always stuck to the basics because it works. Consistent production from No I.D. all across, basically picking up right where Dreamer, Believer left off. The production isn't grandiose or progressive enough to rival all the benchmark hip-hop albums, but it doesn't have to be. It's a very solid hip-hop album that will provide enough beats, samples, and bars to satisfy most die-hard hip-hop fans. It is not ambitious, just straight to the point, embodying what Common wants to accomplish as a rapper and a voice of a community.
