Album of the year, 2009
Given the caliber of musicians in this band I expected a better album. Don't get me wrong, it's good, just not great. There's some fine songs on it (New Fang, Bandoliers, Reptiles) but every time I listen to it, I can't shake the thought of it being an album of second tier QOTSA tracks that didn't make the cut to get on the album.

Not as good as you would expect from this supergroup. Rating (76.92)
Awesome. When Dave Grohl is drumming, you can expect it to rock.
Favorites: Elephants, Gunman.
I'm glad they enjoy playing together but if I'm being honest I'm much more likely to pick up and listen to a Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters or QOTSA album. It starts quite well but I actually find this difficult to listen to all the way through, it gets quite boring actually, before Gunman lifts it back up.

Good album. Seems a little underrated here. It has more QOTSA underpinnings, but JPJ and Dave Grohl do a great job (particularly JPJ) supporting this album.

A ton of great stuff on this album, from the first listen of the first track, I knew I was going to really dig this album. I hope Grohl, Jones, and Homme find time in the coming years to do another TCV record.
