Barely saved from the doom of oblivion thanks to the band's international name and its singles, this album is horribly weak for me. I am not able to listen to the whole Juicebox song without hating myself and the bassist of this band. However, Razorblade is an amazingly fun song, and YOLO is... well, it has one of the most memorable riffs of the last decade and has an incredibly catchy composition. How someone that has such an incredible talent lets such a foul LP get released with its name is something that escapes my understanding, unless it is simply a great example of what laziness can achieve.

I honestly really enjoy this album and don't know why people dislike it so much. I guess everyone had high expectations for The Strokes following their debut and even Room on Fire, but I enjoy the more aggressive style on some of these tracks. All I can say is that it feels a bit scattered, so I enjoy the tracks individually more than I do listening to this as a whole.
This album is much darker than I'm used to for The Strokes, but somehow it's a great listen. You really just gotta roll with it and let the music be what it is. I think this is the second best Strokes release and one of their best.

This one is growing on me. Originally, I brushed it off as a little similar to their first two. Now I'm starting to see what's here. My opinion should change soon...
I just don't get this album, tried it again recently but hasn't changed my opinion. Couple of decent tunes but one of the songs just sounds like Mandy by Barry Manilow.
