"no they don't suck, you think they sound dated when they came out b/c it's just standard hard rock. and? that's an awesome genre, let me help you with this: step 1: THROW YOUR S*&^%* EARBUDS AND IPHONE IN THE GARBAGE. step 2: BUY TOWER SPEAKERS, A MIXER, AND A RECORD PLAYER. step 3: TURN THE VOLU..."  [+]  Reply

"Small change is without doubt the best Tom Waits album of the seventies. Here, he is fully formed, the sozzled barroom troubadour reaches it's peak. Waits is at the top of his game. While, closing time, was uncertain, the heart of Saturday night, slightly immature, and, nighthawks at the diner, a..."  [+]  Reply

"This album came at a point where I was completely exhaused with Wu-Tang. I really felt like their quality had dipped quite a bit (and for the most part it HAD -- there was a lot of cash grabbing at this time) so it was hard for me to give SC a fair shake. Now that time has passed, it's clear that..."  [+]  Reply

"This was my first experience of listening Yes. So it was a wonderful experience. The first side is full of great tracks. The second side not quite as strong although it ends very well with Hearts. What a comeback. Still I can understand why this may have annoyed many Yes fans - it really isn't Yes!"  Reply

"2013 is turning out to be an amazing year for electroacoustic albums. This is easily Tim Hecker's most dynamic, attention-grabbing work. Also possibly his best. Here, the melancholic stupor present in his other work gives rise to fear and desperation, with moments of refuge scattered throughout. ..."  [+]  Reply

"Consistently interesting listen, with less of the ELO generic orchestra gimmickry. Probably their second best album for me, after their first. Best songs are the El Dorado Overture, Laredo Tornado and the finale."  Reply

"From the first few seconds, the jazz influence can be heard through the melody of "Strange Feelin'" which is lifted from Miles Davis' "All Blues". The jazz tendencies continue throughout the album and make for a great departure from his previously folk-inflected albums. Not only does the musical ..."  [+]  Reply
