Upon relistening, this album is exceptional, but I’m not sure it will quite make the cut in my next GOAT list. That being said, I’m sure it will stay on my 70s list.
Originally named The Bubble Puppy (or Bubble Puppy), the group changed their location from Texas to California, changed labels from International Artists to ABC, and changed their style slightly from heavy psych rock to really just straight hard rock with some unexpected changes in rhythm and some fiery guitar solos. The music is heavy, yet feels major and uplifting sort of in the way Banchee does with their bright vocal harmonies.
Highly recommend!
