I have noticed that Fleet Foxes has a lot of songs that have multiple sections or switch tone or tempo (Ragged Wood, The Shrine, and Mykonos for some examples). I think this is meant to represent change or growth, which are prevalent themes in their lyrics. I don't have much more to add, just an observation.
Gorgeous instrumentation and as another existentially scared and romantically delusional man, Robin's lyrics are fantastic.

They certainly sound nice, good instrumentation and harmonies and so on, but it all just feels so bland. Every song, every album just kinda blends together, and the very polished production can make them sound soulless and robotic sometimes. Still, they are a nice sounding band, if nothing else.

These guys are making the best folk music around. Forget Of Monsters and Men. Forget Mumford & Sons (forget them just because they suck.) Fleet Foxes is the band that people need to look to for full, lush, and meaningful folk music. Both of their albums are masterpieces, and chances are, whatever they will do next won't be anything short of brilliant.
