The voice of Enigma is interesting and chilled out. The mix of genres is somewhat confused, but adds to the enjoyability. A lot of spiritual-sounding new age synths with groovy electronic rhythms and French whispers (!) going on at the same!

More colourful and urban than The Stone Roses' debut, and probably the last remarkable "Madchester" album. "Step On" is a great cover version or did they outright steal it? Either way, they improved it and that's all that matters. A great party album that never ceases to keep you going!

George Michael's pop appeal is still in play here, but he also introduces haunting tunes and soulful atmospheres. Listen without prejudice to this strong collection and be rewarded greatly!

Alice in Chain's uneven debut. I've even recognized funk and glam metal in certain parts of the album just to exemplify its unfocused musical direction. Fortunately, the album also explores the for Alice in Chains more typical heavy metal sound. The songs that are good here are great and the epicness of "Man in the Box" can't be overstated!

In a vapoury place called nowhere. Effortlessly cool, crashing noise with pretty harmonies and a sense of decay!

Coming straight from the 80s, something easily recognizable when you hear the production, Mariah Carey presents for the first time her voice and her visions of love. Charmingly innocent and a little stuck in the decade that preceded this album, but a surprisingly nice sugar-coated debut that really shines in places.

Delicous cherry-coloured funk. You may think Las Vegas is a hell on Earth, but there's no way you can possibly reject this dreamy and heavenly album!

Kylie Minogue is slowly taking her innocence off. The music has taken a rougher dance pop edge, but she's not completely turned to a bad girl image either. The spirit is driven, yet never misses a catchy beat.

"I Promised Myself" is one of those perfect grandiose pop songs, in this example danceable too. The rest of the album is also nice, and generally upbeat.
