I admire "Dark side..." but this, its follow-up, is infinitely more moving. And human. [First added to this chart: 07/09/2014]

The post-Syd Floyd emerged here from a 4-year-long tunnel of (glorious) uncertainties with an album that managed to be both experimental and super melodic. The high spot of their "democratic" period. [First added to this chart: 07/09/2014]

Overrated for sure. Maybe not even Pink Floyd's best, let alone the "second best album of all time" BUT a masterpiece of an album nonetheless, that no loger needs any introduction. Just to be listened to. [First added to this chart: 07/09/2014]

George Orwell's "Animal farm" inspired Roger Waters to write a whole album about humanity divided in three archetypes: dogs, pigs and sheep. The music is more than good enough to make the misanthropy very easy to accept. [First added to this chart: 07/09/2014]

Its transitional nature makes it one of the most endearing albums in Pink Floyd's discography. And in the last song, you can hear the mind of a great songwriter, Syd Barrett, fragmenting in front of your ears. Scary. [First added to this chart: 12/10/2014]

I like "The Wall"; it's a very clever album, a big, super production with subtle details (the way the beginning is the continuation of the very last phrase you hear at the very end, for instance), and a rich thematic scope, but... for me, it's a bit hard to digest in one go. Unlike some other "legendary" double albums. Or unlike any other Floyd album in this chart, with the exception of the aptly-titled "... momentary lapse...".
