The key to this album, the big draw, is Nao's vocals. The instrumentation is great and everything, but it's Nao's vocals that really make this album. This sweet, soulful kind of falsetto that, along with the electronic backing tracks, sounds like something coming out of a futuristic, retro smoky nightclub. Instrumentally the album is sparse, yet it fills itself out as it needs to. Quite, yet full synths, backed by thick bass and little lead variations here and there. It all makes for a very interesting and pleasant album. While this is just an EP (it's only like 15-20 minutes long), it's got everything it needs to become an excellent album, and it makes for a great listen.

@dbz - yea dude, the new Atkins is pretty sweet too.
@mecca - I think I need to relisten to the U.S. Girls album, I liked it a lot, might eventually crack the top-100.

Man, you put some serious work into this. All those informative notes. I think the bulk of these that I know would fall into my own honorable mentions chart if I made one. Was surprised Sleater Kinney and US Girls couldn't crack your top 100.
