I've got a bunch of charts dedicated to the different subgenres of metal, but this chart is an all-encompassing chart for my favorite metal albums (and I'll specify the specific subgenre of metal within the comments of each entry, assuming there is one).
NOTE: This chart is not going to include early metal (i.e. Blue Cheer, Black Sabbath) nor will it include hair metal (despite the fact that hair metal is the coolest and if you like hair metal, I've got a top 100 hair metal albums chart you should check out).
