ahhhh post-rock does anyone really know what you are? Jazz-rock, experimental rock, math rock, long emotive suites, post 1994 when the term was coined? I guess... but also no. So I will include lots of choices people might be like: "that's not technically post-rock because x or y or z" but whatever.

haha hey so this list is not even close to set in stone, consider it more of a very rough draft I threw together 2 years ago and then forgot about. Still, I'm not convinced that we cannot consider Henry Cow and Penguin Cafe precursors to the post-rock of the late 80's forward, as a kind of bridge between prog and post rock.
