Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by Aureus
Yeah I can only imagine how this will be controversial this will be, just try to keep things civil. It's my music tastes, and I listen to modern music, not the older music (well, usually), this won't affect you.

Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)
This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 82.5/100, a mean average of 78.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 81.0/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 17.6.

My only question is if you like veteran artists like Bowie and Nick Cave why not check out some of their earlier stuff? I promise bowie gets better than Black Star. I listen primarily modern music too but this chart almost comes off as close-minded. Regardless, this chart is personal and I can respect that.
I dont know a whole lot of the music you have here, but its great to see push the sky away and hand cannot erase! I would urge you to check out earlier music; I know that coming to old music the production can sound old, dated, or even just bad. I understand that, but I would also urge you to try to get used to it, because there is some truly amazing music there, if you look. I have experienced the same kind of thing, so I understand. I would recommend starting with something like Pink Floyd's acclaimed works, which are extremely well produced. They sound pretty modern even.
James McMurtry at the top? Perfect!
Bonus points for originality, but I suspect your taste will change over time, as will this chart.
Just keep it up :) No need to defend yourself cause you like modern music more than older releases :D 2015 has been my 1969 aswell ;)
Some interesting choices but you are born in 2010.
Interesting chart and quite refreshing!
Anything before 2012?
Very interesting and good, but there was great music before 2010s… Still a nice chart
No, I have Future, Sam Hunt and Bryson Tiller on here haha. But I'm honoured for the comparison, as he helped to shape my music tastes.
