This album is so important to me that I even remember the date I bought it: 25/11/2004. From this day on, music became something really important to me. Thank you, Kurt. The pain in his voice, the setlist full of underground covers that nobody could possibly imagine the top band of the world including in their final album, the instrumental errors, the jokes between the songs... everything here sets the mood for the most powerful live performance ever. Oh my god. What can I say. EMOTIONAL LANDSCAPES. STATE OF EMERGENCY. Bjork is an animal. She howls. She cries. She haunts you. She lurks. All that with the most well crafted mix of electronica and classical pieces as background.. Homogenic is her climax. She is cumming brilliance in this album. This is true, artistic pop music. Comparing OK Computer with any other album is like comparing a huge aquarium full of life with a flat singlecolored wall of concret. Radiohead managed to transform the chaos and dispair of modern life in... beauty and poetry. [First added to this chart: 05/01/2011]

This is pretty much the soundtrack of my life. Brazilian Magnum Opus, the perfect combination of rock and samba, the main core of the national indie scene. Those bearded guys really helped to become who I am with their songs. [First added to this chart: 05/01/2011]

This album is a whole moving universe. And that universe is going to dissappear in 60 minutes. You can REALLY feel the rumbling, the instability and insignificance of the Earth while you listen to it. What can you do? There's nothing left but to drown in dispair on those high pitched loops and landscape recordings. [First added to this chart: 01/07/2012]

This is no gothic. No metal. No trip hop. No progressive. No alternative rock. This is the only case of trip rock ever made by mankind. Obviously is Dutch and gorgeous - like Anneke. [First added to this chart: 09/01/2013]

10. (7) Down 3
Combine crazy funny lyrics with comfortable acoustic guitar tunes and beautiful strings arrangements. Now add a bucket of anti-folkism and there you go. You have Regina Spektor's lost husband. [First added to this chart: 01/28/2014]

Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 83.6/100, a mean average of 81.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 83.0/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 15.0.

What better way to start a great chart than with Nirvana's MTV performance - a truly great album.

I've never been to too many concerts, but I think I've seen them about 5 or 6 times. This one time, they were headlining Coachella with the Pixies. We stood for a long time to be in the front and saw Frank Black's fat ass, Kim Deal's sober ass, and the drummer's tweaker ass. Halfway into Radiohead's set, the place was out of water and I couldn't stand anymore. I had to push my way out of that huge crowd, and I felt like Larry David after he trips Shaq: "It was an accident! It was an accident!"

There you go. That's my present to you. Enjoy it. Make fun of it. Whatever. I think it should be noted that I stopped caring after the first three albums. "thank you, Kurt". This fuckin guy! That's beautiful.
