Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by Lukeanaderdude

So I'm probably not going to update this chart anymore. Theres just so much good music and its impossible to rank them because every genre, artist, and album does its own thing. So instead of trying to rank them as my taste in music continues to grow, I'm just going to leave this here and have it as a history of my music tastes from the ages 14-18. These 100 albums mean so much to me and will always be some of my favorites.

This album is my go to album for everything. I keep getting vibes from when I was little, like 2-5 years old. My sister would play this album a lot, along with a bunch of other albums. It wouldn't be until about a decade later when I discovered Radiohead again. This was the album that showed me the electronic music isn't bad, and opened my tastes to many other music genres.

Its great. Everything about this album is amazing. This album was such a breath of fresh air from all the trap rap going on. Even though I do love trap, I can admit it's over saturated in the music industry today. This album sounded like nothing I ever heard from rap before. It changed the way I looked at the genre forever.

Simply a masterpiece! Before I heard OK Computer, the only Radiohead song I knew was by Radiohead was Creep, so when I heard this, I was surprised of how different it was, and also enveloped in nostalgia. I knew all these songs from my early childhood, I just never knew they were by Radiohead. So glad I discovered them again.

Amazing album from the Beatles. When they first dove into trippy music. All the songs on this album are amazing, second to none.(Except Yellow Submarine, even though I still like the song, all the other tracks top it by a mile) Took me awhile to understand the brilliance of this album, but once I did, I couldn't put it down. Also, I just want to say that a really love this album cover. If you look at all the scattered pictures of the Beatles, its them all having fun and being silly. Something about that I just love.

What is there to say? Its a masterpiece! Such a creative and genius album. The Beatles album where I realized that they were more then just a "boy band" Once I heard it I played it everyday for about a month straight.

One of the best concept albums of all time. Every song is amazing. This album is the one of those rare concept albums were every song can be enjoyed outside of the album. I even let most of the skits play out because they're so damn quotable.

Man, what an album. Tyler created his own sub-genre of r&b/psychedelic/rap/soul, and it sounds like nothing I've heard before. I was up till midnight on a school night waiting for this album, listening to the 4 short snippets Tyler put out on repeat. By the time the album came out, I was really tired and my internet decided to shit all over its self, so my first listen was a laggy mess. I could tell that this was something special though. The next day at school I was listening to this album on repeat. Each listen I noticed new things in the production, and the melodies started to stick in my head. By the end of the day, I knew that this album is already one of my favorites.

This album is a beautiful masterpiece from start to finish. Every song is unique and amazing in their own way. From 15 Step's, blend of real and electronic drums, to Reckoner's haunting yet beautiful bridge, this album has everything I love in music.

Man this album. This freaking album. This is how you make an amazing rap album. This album production is out of this world. Samples are used in genius ways. Kanyes flow goes great with the instrumentals (even if the lyrics can be corny sometimes) this album is a masterpiece.

This thing is a masterpiece. An instant classic. Beautiful, dreamy production, interesting lyrics, and it all goes great with Tyler's deep, bassy voice.

Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some charts can have several thousand ratings)

This chart is rated in the top 6% of all charts on BestEverAlbums.com. This chart has a Bayesian average rating of 88.5/100, a mean average of 88.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.1/100. The standard deviation for this chart is 9.4.

Love it! The diversity between alt rock and hip hop is great, and great picks from the last decade. Well done

Great chart, I'm a big fan of a ton of these picks -- I say maybe branch out and try to cut down the amount of artists that appear multiple times; this is definitely a list dominated by a few musicians at the top. Of course, everyone you have up there is fantastic, but the charts are just generally more fun with more variety. But hey, this is your chart, and if these are your favorites so be it! Nice chart, man.

solid list! I guess you've gotta update your Late Registration comment. Also, seeing as you like Death Grips and Kanye, I'm surprised you don't have Yeezus on here. I think its his masterpiece, personally
