People on this site seem to really hate this album, but it's just so much fun. It's stupid, overproduced, and bombastic, and that's all part of it's charm.

Good choices! I love to see Animals at #1 and both of the Bowie albums in the list. In my view 1977 was THE year of classic album releases. I would add to the list both 77 Iggy Pop albums which he did together with Bowie plus ELO's New World Record, 10cc Deceptive Bends and Steely Dan Aja, then the list is perfect :-)
