Here's a chart inspired by a cool thread from Round The Bend.
A Herculean task it proved.
Can't quite believe I couldn't fit in Stone Roses, Abba, Black Sabbath, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Who, Simon & Garfunkel, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Bob Marley, Oasis, Blur, Pulp, Jeff Buckley, Prince, Marvin Gaye, or Aphex Twin, to name a few.
But I just totally went with my gut.
It was brutal!

That's good that we got many artists and albums in common. Some albums, like Wish You Were Here, Sgt Pepper and The Joshua Tree were absolute favourites for me. Nothing else would do. But some albums I deliberated over and nearly had something else.
It was a fun exercise.

The 60's and the 70's were the most difficult decades.

Great. I would have trouble when it came to about 1967 to 1977. That would be hard. Too many good ones to choose from.
