Top 70 Greatest Music Albums

This is currently just a reshape of the Overall Top 70 due to my lack of album experience so I'm making my way down the top 100, 200, 300 albums etc. to give me a good start.
I can confidently say that my top 10 are already going to be hard to displace whilst 5-6 will probably fall off once I get past the 100 mark.

Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).

I like your chart and have most of the same stuff. I also recently started to expand my music through working through charts for inspiration - I had heard many of the bands and singles over the years without ever getting round to albums, although I have met a few bands and albums unknown to me - the excellent Neutral Milk Hotel album would have been lost to me if I hadn't started this journey.
I do love the Beatles but can't get an album into my charts just because I always feel there are a few weak songs on the album that drags it down for me.
I also was having initial trouble elevating some great "new" albums ahead of my old stuff, but after 2 years on my journey the more recent albums are finding a way in. I'm still expanding and hope you keep on your journey - so take this comment as a prompt

Enjoy the musical journey. I don't think I could stay disciplined enough to go through a list like that. Anytime I try to do that I end up on some obscure musical tangent.

Nice concept, I think it should be rated after you finish listening to top 100 and maybe some suggestions out of the top albums on this site. All the best luck in discovering new great albums
