This chart isn’t necessarily in any order. However, it’s here to document the records that caught me off guard in the best way possible.
A number of these records were random streaming selections, others I discovered in my ongoing trek through Rolling Stone’s Top 500, and a couple were blind buys based on the album’s cover. A lot of these records (even through respective acclaim) were unbeknownst to me before listening. Others I simply just liked more than I anticipated.
What they all have in common is they helped push my listening envelope when I didn’t expect them to. Hope you enjoy!
