Best UK hip hop post-punk album of the year
This is his best album so far. Great music and honest raw lyrics dealing with mental health issues and their impact displaying a vulnerability that you don't often see in hip hop had me invested. I got to see him live at a festival a few weeks before this release and even though I was looking forward to seeing his set he still blew me away to end up my biggest surprise of the day of how good he was. Played a couple from this album too - Feel Good and Selfish. But it is the opener, Yum, and the slower atmospheric Falling (his vocal stylings on this song remind me of King Krule) that are my favourite tracks on the album [First added to this chart: 07/07/2023]
