Highly underrated, and far from just a Joy Division/Interpol xerox. A gorgeous, catchy, and emotionally resonant album. Five stars. No 4.5's for this year.

Welcome back, Kate! Not as wonderful as The Dreaming or The Sensual World (let alone Hounds of Love), but still very good, and still has her beloved personal stamp.
