On par with great bands like Blondie and Talking Heads of the same era who had extended success - The Motels flamed out pretty quickly (a mere half decade of hits). A female fronted ensemble (by Martha Davis) The Motels offered punchy, poppy, danceable New Wave music with an emotional core. Would have liked to see them stick together longer.
