One great album, but mostly a just bunch of inane pop songs about cars and surfing.

Mother Nature's Son 11/30/2012 23:59The greatest American band of all time! They've made so much wonderful music and I've no idea why they're considered overrated when albums like "Today!", "Wild Honey", "Friends", "Sunflower", "Carl and the Passions - So Tough", "Holland" and "Love You", which are all great from start to finish, can be ranked so low. Unique sound, exceptional songwriting and bringing back good memories of summer.
Them and The Beatles are tied for my fave

I love Beach Boys. They make me SMiLE!
junodog4They taught us all to sing... Then shocked us with some depth. Pure beauty and fun in the early 60s, greatness in the late 60s, pure irrelevance since then. Want proof? They went from 'Surfin USA' to 'Wouldn't It Be Nice' to 'That's Why God Made The Radio'.
Extremely underrated
gtrodaI get they are great pop musicians. I get that they had wonderful harmony. I get that their music is part of Americana. I like several of their songs. But I don't understand why everyone thinks Pet Sounds is so amazing. Half of it makes me want to sleep.
