Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some artists can have several thousand ratings)
This artist has a Bayesian average rating of 70.6/100, a mean average of 68.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 68.4/100. The standard deviation for this artist is 19.6.

Great rapper who is unfairly hated, sometimes gets off as corny, or fake-deep.
But makes very relatable and fun to listen too music, great melodies and simple lyrics make him the perfect "shallow" rapper.
Was a very promising artist with the release of Friday night lights and the warm up but I have not enjoyed the entirety of none of J Cole's studio albums except for 2014Forest hills drive which was a 7,5 IMO. Very talented artist that should collaborate a little bit more and stop rapping over minimalist instrumentals which gives him a reputation to be boring.
J. Cole is not for everyone, you need a certain level of intelligence to really vibe to his music.
