""Love My Way" seemingly put this band on the map, but the rest of the songs on this 1982 album match that track's quality and energy!!! Richard Butler's sneering delivery and the synth-y feel of these songs distinguish them from many similar bands of the era."  Reply

"I found it pretty enjoyable and compared to Recovery, Encore and Relapse (that last album is just a shame) it's pretty good. Rap God, Love Game, Headlights, Bad Guy are definitely my stand out tracks. And So Much Better is hilarious, no disrespect to the ladies. And if you compare it to a rapper ..."  [+]  Reply

"One of the few albums of the '80s that still don't sound ridicolous. Some of the best songs ever wrote by Paul Weller and a jazzy feeling that is absolutely fresh and enjoyable, even after 25 years."  Reply

"I forgot how much I liked this album. There is an underlying groove which makes up for some of the repetitive content. Side A is stronger than side B. Different to Happy Mondays but it was this album that got me to buy their back catalogue. Overall this is my favourite Shaun Ryder album."  Reply

"BS&T's debut album, with Al Kooper steering the boat, doesn't really resemble the better-known David Clayton Thomas incarnation, but this is perhaps their strongest effort overall. This record has more of a blues- than a jazz-infusion, but there's some of both. Filled with great songs like "Just ..."  [+]  Reply

"Always found this to be a bit overrated. The first track is by far the best. It all comes across as kind of a bit lo fi. Maybe it's intentional because of the jazz thing but the beats and bass sound like they're in another room. The tone is set on track 2 when I'm waiting for a colossal bass that..."  [+]  Reply
