"A really nice album by the chanson master. The only thing that fails to me is that sometimes it gets a bit repetitive, and maybe that's because of my terrible french. This, probably makes it difficult to fully appreciate the songs."  Reply

"I don't know how they can put out so much quality but they do and this is no exception. Slap after slap with no filler. The sounds of a band with a complete mastery of their output and an ability to do pretty much whatever they want."  Reply

"This is an overlooked masterpiece. It's an awesome rock and roll record. It includes perhaps one of the most heartbreakingly honest songs ever written in "You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory". Really, I don't know what exactly it is about this record that makes me feel so close to it and atta..."  [+]  Reply

"Although I loved the predecessor to this album, The Lion's Roar, particularly the song "Emmylou," which is in my pantheon of best-written songs ever, I nevertheless had my doubts about the staying power of First Aid Kit. I needn't have worried, though, as this follow-up cemented their place as on..."  [+]  Reply

"Absolutely brilliant album, gives me chills every listen, a close second behind "The Mantle". Not quite as good but a pioneering work by the band, the album consists of some of their greatest work with ground-shattering tracks like "Limbs" or "Unlike the Waves"."  Reply

"Masterpiece of soundscape, to say the least. The guitar tone is an art in and of itself. The lyrics are hauntingly deep, even though the delivery comes across somewhat silly at points. The choir on Big Church is so damn good, All around this album is consistent and cohesive, which just makes it e..."  [+]  Reply

"With this album, Bon Jovi proved they were legit and grunge wasn't going to push them into retirement. This is a focused rock record that combines the fun of arena rock with the seriousness of modern rock at the time. It also features some of Richie Sambora's best ever guitar playing. Little Bit ..."  [+]  Reply
