"NY has to be my fav artist of all time. Not his best album by a long way but still better than most. Star of B, Howegrown & the awesome Like A Hurricane are the standout tracks."  Reply

"This is one of my favorite albums, I've listened to it countless times. that being said, I dont think Blues for Allah is the best song, i think its meant to be empty and desolate like a desert but its not incredibly fun to listen to and it's 12 minutes, also the flute in sage and spirit can bothe..."  [+]  Reply

"This album effectively combines rock, rap, R&B, gospel, and pop music along with faith based lyrics to create a classic album. It is considered a landmark album in the Contemporary Christian Music scene."  Reply

"Nowhere near as good as their debut and one of the weaker Chris Cornell albums I've listen to so far but "Be Yourself" is one of the greatest songs of the 2000s and absolutely hits me with nostalgia the second it begins. Best song(s): "Be Yourself" "Your Time Has Come" "Heaven's Dead" "Out of Exile""  [+]  Reply

"Alan Lancaster shines on this one singing 4 of the 8 tunes, the first two tracks being worthy of mention. Not to be outdone Francis Rossi sings 2 very good songs and Rick Parfitt proves that Status Quo isn't all about 3 chord boogie. Not the classic hits of Hello but a better record overall."  Reply

"Not bad, but not nearly as good as their first. My favorite songs are Used to Bad News and A Man I'll Never Be. This album's song titles alternate between positive and negative. Not sure what was going on with the band on a personal level (though I know they had their legal troubles) but someone ..."  [+]  Reply

"Frankly, this album is far better than anybody could have reasonably expected it to be. If you think back to the singles he's put out in the interim since The Chronic 2001, both 'Kush' and 'I Need a Doctor' were overhammed and half-speed, precisely the sorts of out-of-touch songs you would expect..."  [+]  Reply

"For some reason I never noticed it before, but this album is a lot like Talk Talk's Spirit of Eden. And with each listen is grows more and more profound. From the poetic lyrics, to the brilliant musicianship that blends jazz and post rock into lush arrangements. It's an album that seems much simp..."  [+]  Reply
