"Whenever I think of this album, I remember listening to this on my Sony Walkman, doing my dumbbell reps and my dad coming in my room telling me the gulf war had started. Totally irrelevant to anything apart from I still love it the same as I did then as a teenager. Always loved their singles that..."  [+]  Reply

"Unusual for me to appreciate this style of music, but there's something about Tankian's delivery here that gets me into his riffs and soft/loud/soft variance. I wouldn't play this repeatedly at any time - but it's good for a listen from time to time."  Reply

"I can´t believe this album is so low. The best hardcore that The Offspring could offer. Really underrated. Best tracks: Kick him when he´s down - We are one - Dirty Magic - No Hero - Get it right"  Reply

"One of the greatest improvisational jams ever recorded. Just 3 songs, pretty basic rhythms and harmonies that let Eric Dolphy do some of his better moves. The solos are crazy and the comping by Mal Waldron is something to behold. Ed Blackweel is as solid as ever."  Reply

"This album is one of the outstanding masterpieces of the late sixties and Eric Burdon one of the era's creative figures as well as one of its greatest vocalists. Blues, raga and jazz elements combine to create a work that is refined musically as it is dark politically and socially."  Reply

"Ray Lamontagne's third album sees him continuing his rustic sound. It's a good record, but to me the first two tracks, you are the best thing, and, let it be me, sound like songs requested by his record company for two commercial tracks for single purposes and then he can do what he wants with th..."  [+]  Reply

"Stirring and moving late career rebirth for Americas greatest band. Touch Of Grey is fantastic Throwing Stones is powerful with a message still relevant today, and West La Fadeaway and it seedy tales of The Chateau (Marmont) is fantastic as well.
