"At the end of his new album, Quelle Chris wonders how he will be remembered: "Twenty disks on the counter / Always presented as a new artist every other time" ("Wyrm"). The rapper from Detroit, but now based in Brooklyn, is not basically wrong. Despite a series of frankly successful albums (the e..."  [+]  Reply

"The sub-title of this Slash album is "R & FN' R" - which I believe Slash meant to abbreviate "Rock And Formula Roll." The guitarist does accumulate a bunch of top-notch vocalists with whom to collaborate."  Reply

"This album is humanity on a good day: little ado on variations of stuff, and then at the end they just throw a party with mariachi music and shit. Jim O'Rourke is a genius"  Reply

"When I first heard this album, I was impressed with all the arrangements. Swirling distorted guitars interweaving over "Beachboys" inspired harmonies. The song writing is solid, Every song has an accessibility ala The Beatles. My favourites are Haywire, Trouble and The Man Who Loved Life. However..."  [+]  Reply

"Another fine Rod Stewart record. Gasoline alley, is not quite as consistent or as good as, every picture, but it features some fine songs. Only a hobo, cut across shorty and the title track are the pick of the bunch. Earthy, you can almost smell the smoke from the chimneys. Good stuff."  Reply

"Primal Scream make a wrong turn into blues rock territory, but they still manage to fashion a good album out of it. Although it has to be said, compared to the rest of their work in the 90s it is a bit of a let-down. As long as you don't expect much, I'm pretty sure a listener will find things to..."  [+]  Reply
