"I was underwhelmed if that's a word. I know it's not 'cause I looked it up: in short: I was and still am overwhelmed by this album and it's their best in my view. A classic"  Reply

"I'll say up front that if you disagree with the political/social messaging of this album then it's probably a non starter for enjoying it. But to me it is a punk masterpiece. In their debut major album release, the Lambrini Gril's take on police brutality, misogyny, and capitalism in a way that i..."  [+]  Reply

"The title track and "Arc of Bar" are great, but the rest seems to be really lacking creativity. It feels like stuff I've heard before from 4 King & Country, and even they aren't the most innovative band around. Japandroids = Canadian 4 King & Country, but minus the fact that 4 King & Country are ..."  [+]  Reply

"It's a good album - the first 2-3 tracks are excellent but falls into a comfort zone from there on that it never really recovers from... Not their best (IMO) but very much worth it if you already like them."  Reply

"I was hugely disappointed in this album when it first came out, but it has really grown on me over the years. In addition to the two big hits (Athena and Eminence Front) there are some good deep cuts like One At A Time and Why Did I Fall For That. I suspect it's only so despised because it's a pa..."  [+]  Reply

"I heard Oh Larsen B, liked it, and decided to check out this album. What an excellent decision that was, Open Season is great and way better than I expected. Definitely less punk than the other BSP albums, but full of great songs that make it my favorite and without many "bad" songs (not too fond..."  [+]  Reply
