CSS (cansei de ser sexy) sure don't sound tired of being sexy anymore. Gone is the rebellious, oft-kilter brashness of their debut for a more polished, mature, professional sound, and their music isn't as strong as a result. Gone are songs like "let's make love and listen to death from above" and "fuckoff is not the only thing you have to show". They still have a bunch of good songs like "left behind" and "let's reggae all night", but the snarky attitude has been replaced by the air of the attitude that once was. They still sport some riffs copped from the Pixies and pump out punky-power-pop like Ladytron, but this now feels purposefully "made for pop radio".
