Aside from Bee Thousand this is probably the best place to start if you're new to GBV. Their discography is well suited to the Best Of treatment as pretty much every album has at least 3 killer cuts on it. There's no filler shoehorned in here for the sake of representing every album (the cardinal sin committed by most 'Best Of' collections). There are a couple of noteworthy omissions though.
If We Wait, Useless Inventions and When She Turns 50 are three tracks that I definitely would have included. This collection also predates Half Smiles of the Decomposed so Window of My World and Girls of Wild Strawberries are also sadly absent.

one of the few "greatest hits" albums i own...an amazing collection of gbv songs and a great starting point to familiarize yourself with their music.
