Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 59.4/100, a mean average of 58.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 58.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 27.1.

First half is good, second half is mid. "I Don't Have To Try" is particularly obnoxious, though.

É melhor do que falam, mas pior do que poderia ser.
Weaker than "Let Go", but a lot of fun nonetheless.
Selfish, shallow, and catchy as hell. This is my 2nd favourite Avril Lavigne album, behind Under My Skin.

Very good pop punk/alternative rock album. Best 10 songs average is 89,5/100 and the album can get very good 90/100. The Album isn't quite as good as Avril's previous hit-albums "Let Go" and especially "Under My Skin". However best song is "When you're gone" 95/100, followed by "Runaway", "Hot", "Innocence" and "Keep holding on" all 90/100. All other songs in the region of 80-85/100.

Gormless

A pretty good collection of rather infectious little punk-pop ditties. Avril's voice, the variety of the songs, and the teen lyrics all could use some work, but for the most part this is fun.

As you've guys (unfortunately) have noticed, I've been a huge Avril fan my whole life. But when I first heard "Girlfriend" on the radio, I was really disappointed. I felt like all the emotional tapestry that made Under My Skin such an utter masterpiece was gone. And, in a way, it was. But with that gone, she was able to make this the best pop-punk album since Green Day and Weezer's respective debuts. And when you think that the childish screaming would get old, Avril throws a powerful ballad at you, just to make you think a little bit before the next headbanging epic on the disc.
BEST. PARENTAL ADVISORY ALBUM. EVER.
My perfect album. Catchy pop tracks, with an appropriate mix of rock. If only the ballads were a tad less boring and the start to 'I Don't Have to Try' wasn't so un-Avril I would have given this a 10.
