The big beat genre began as the big, dumb cousin of the supposedly more edifying IDM. Tom and Ed make it far more cerebral than anyone else, and cram some superb tunes in to boot. This, and the albums around it in their discography, demonstrate an act at the top of their game.
Found this very boring and repetitive. The only quality on the album is the last track, The Test, and I had to listen to 48 minutes of mediocrity before I got there. I liked their previous two albums, but not this one. I guess I'm just not a fan of mostly-instrumental techno music.
Great album. Good mix of tempo and style. Beth Orton featuring is a joy. Other highlights for me is 'Star Guitar' & 'The Test'

Fantastic big beat electronic album by The Chemical Brothers. Heavy thumping techno beats with some psychedelic sounds throughout, if you're into that sorta thing.

It has Africa and Star Guitar on it, which has to make it my favorite.
