After one listen, I'm not sure what to do with this one. I love Andrew Bird for the subversive wit within his accessible almost-pop song structures. His "Eno album" showcases another of his myraid talents, but rarely hints at what makes the rest of his work from this era so strong.
"Carrion Suite" is admittedly breathtaking.
Andrew Bird's instrumental companion to Noble Beast is actually one of the best things he's released; thanks to the wonderfully catchy Nyatiti, the pretty ambient looping of The Barn Tapes, and exotic multi part Carrion Suite.
