Rating metrics: Help Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 66.4/100, a mean average of 66.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 66.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 21.9.

Carpal Tunnel of Love super underrated, it's everything that FOB is put into one song. Thriller is an amazing starter that flows great into Take Over Breaks Over. (Edited)

The highest point in 2000s emo for me personally. This one and Paramore's Riot! released in the same year are the best that mid-2000s emo has to offer.

The last Fall Out Boy I eagerly anticipated. There are some great songs here, as they transition to a new sound.

Definitely one of Fall Out Boy's best, but lacks variety in a way that makes many of the songs sound similar and even fewer of them memorable. (Edited)

Very good alternative rock/pop rock/pop punk album. Best 5 songs average is 88/100, album can get very good 90/100. All songs are good to very good and rich in variety. Best songs are "This ain't a scene...", "I'm like a lawyer..." and "Thnks fr th mmrs" all 90/100, followed by "Thriller", "The take over...", "Hum halleluja" and "I've got all this ringing..." all 85/100.

Fallout Boy are harmless. This is fun and catchy. They don't produce lasting art, but for something to listen to on the radio, you could do a lot worse.
